Game date: 30 December 2013
In an echo of past rivalries, two long-time experts of the game headed the traditionally-named teams for the Nariel Creek Road Bowls 2013.Reflecting the central Victorian origins of the Australian form of road bowls, Chewton - captained by Helen McG - fought a tough match against bitter rivals Faraday - headed by Mel R.
The result of the match was disputed on the day, but in post-match deliberations both captains agreed that Faraday had won under the "first past the post" rule.
The captains said that under Chewton rules there cannot be a draw, so if both teams end the game with the same number of throws, then the team crossing the finish line first is the winner.
Kieran M was named "Man of the Match".
